Announcement, Juan Carlos will not be able to go to Europe with us for this upcoming tour. In his place, Wes will be playing the drums and Kenny Hill from the Blackjackits will be playing bass. You may recall that Kenny was in The Quakes prior to Wes and has done several European tours with us and he has recorded on two albums. This will be the line up at the two upcoming shows in San Diego (Sept 26)and Riverside (Sept. 27) as well.
Wes is still out on the road right now playing drums with Tim Polecat but we managed to squeeze in some practice time this last weekend.
Wes Hinshaw is currently on tour with Tim Polecat playing drums. It's part of the Lost 80’s tour all over the USA. Last night they played in Niagara Falls,Ontario just across the river from Buffalo where The Quakes started in 1986. Some of you may know that Tim produced New Generation for Sony/Japan in 1992. While he was in town back then, we had him come up and do a few songs with us at The Continental.The other guys in Tim's band are Nick Feratu and Nick Meza from The Limit Club. You may have seen Nick Feratu’s name on the back of a lot of Quakes albums as he helps me with the artwork layouts. The Polecats were very influential to The Quakes in many ways, ways that would not be obvious.

Check out Juan Carlos tearing it up with Brian Setzer! He has been on tour with him for three weeks. There are lots of videos on facebook. Juan joined The Quakes when he was 18 and now look at him. We are all proud of him.

Here is a new song “Die too young” from the new album PLANET OBSCURE. This is a re write of an old song that I wrote and recorded in London in 1988 just after the death of Dave “the ace Hoy.I put this video together as a tribute to him and the very early days of the Quakes and even before the Quakes. There is a full description on the video.
The new album will go on sale Thursday May 10.
